Weekend in London - Monty Python Live
Sunday, July 20, 2014Tristan and I spent a lovely weekend in London. We had a 3 hour train ride there - here is the first picture of our journey. My travel essentials :)

Canary Wharf is a major business district located in Tower Hamlets. It is one of London's main financial centres and contains many of the UK's tallest buildings. One Canada Square is supposed to be the second tallest in the UK - it is really hard to get the whole building in a single picture, so I had to take it in two parts.

Canary Wharf is located on the West India Docks on the Isle of Dogs. The Isle of Dogs is a former island in the East End of London that is bounded on three sides (east, south and west) by one of the largest meanders in the River Thames.

As I already mentioned, the area is full of business buildings and there is not a whole lot to take pictures of. Even though it is a large and busy area, on Saturday it was surprisingly nice and quiet.

Tristan had a Chicken Burger and I had Spaghetti with Oak Roasted Salmon. For dessert we had Lemon Meringue Sundae and Eton Mess.

And here is the reason for our trip - Monty Python Live (mostly). It was a good night!
