Moshi - skin care and candles

Saturday, January 14, 2017

A couple of months ago I tried out some skin care products and soy wax candles from an Estonian natural cosmetics brand called Moshi. Finding the right face cream is always a challenge for me, so I took the risk and chose face products from their lavender-geranium range for my combination skin. I also ordered two packs of scented candles. They added some lip balm to my order for free, which I am very thankful for!

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the Lavender-Geranium Face Cream. The first 5 minutes after is applied are fine but shortly afterwards my skin becomes shiny and oily. My pores became clogged and the cream felt heavy on my face.
Lavender-Geranium Face Scrub works amazingly on my skin. The granules are tiny and the consistency feels super light. I have been using this once or twice a week and like to leave it on my skin for a few extra minutes after scrubbing. Once I have washed it off, I don't need to use toner or night/day cream to keep my face moisturised. I love how gentle it is on the skin - exactly what I need on a cold winter day.

The Lip Balm contains oils of Pumpkin and Sea buckthorn which makes this product moisturising and keeps lips soft all day. Vitamins A, C, and E give my lips an extra boost.
Moshi sell a large selection of candles. I chose two very natural sets, both of them tree scented: Merekohin (which means 'sea murmur' translated directly) which has a slight juniper scent and Fig Tree. I haven't had the chance to use them yet as I am saving them for spring!
Overall, I am pleased with Moshi products. Even though the face cream didn't really suit my skin type, the scrub and lip balm have both been number one over the last few weeks. I like how their products look so natural and neat in my bathroom.
